First State Bank

History, Mission, & Vision

History

First State Bank was originally chartered as Bank of Valliant on December 3, 1911. Through the decades, the bank's charter changed from Bank of Valliant to First National Bank, to Farmers State Guaranty Bank and finally to its current charter as First State Bank in 1964. Although the bank’s name has changed through the years, our philosophy is still the same – to provide quality customer service and competitive financial products to our customers.

Mission

First State Bank is committed to providing complete financial resources to families, businesses, and organizations that are located in the communities we serve. We strive to enhance the quality of life through this commitment, along with our involvement in and support of those communities.

Vision

First State Bank is working diligently for the future of the communities we serve and the bank by:
  • Serving God
  • Providing superior customer service
  • Empowering our employees for success
  • Actively participating in and supporting our community
  • Being an innovative bank with traditional values
We invite you to visit us and meet a friendly group of people willing to work hard to meet your banking needs.
